The US Federation of Worker Cooperatives recently asked Front Group to help update their organization seal. Tim crafted the original seal back in 2006 when the Federation was founded. But it was time for a fresh execution of the design and a new take on the overall identity. Both the old and the new seal are based on two sets of classic cooperative iconography; the twin pines and a flying ‘v’ of geese. In their own words, the Federation works “to create a thriving cooperative movement through the development of stable and empowering jobs and worker-ownership. We advance worker-owned, -managed, and -governed workplaces through cooperative education, advocacy and development.”
This assignment also included the development of a new brand for the Democracy at Work Institute, a parallel project of the Federation.
The new designs are being released along with the Federation’s new website, built by Palante. The result of the project is a much-needed improvement that emphasizes the continued success of the USFWC while maintaining brand consistency.
